In this episode, we discuss Spiritual Discernment.

How do we know we are hearing God’s voice?  This is the question that is the basis for our entire conversation.  The first step to being able to know whether you are hearing God is developing a relationship with Him.  John 10:3 says “…and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.”  And we learned through this discussion that in order to hear His voice we have a relationship with Him.

We also give 8 steps to understanding and knowing God’s will for your life from Morris L. Venden (courtesy of George Mueller), author and retired pastor.  So that you will be able to follow along, here are the 8 steps to knowing God’s will in your life that will hear in segment 3.

• No will of your own
• Don’t go simply on feeling
• Study God’s Word
• Consider providential circumstances (look at past acts of God)
• Consult with godly friends
• Ask God, in prayer, to reveal His will
• Make a decision
• Proceed with your decision
